Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Lila wasn't thrilled about having her picture taken, but these are more adorable shirts from My Personalized T-Shirt. The girls and I enjoyed the nice weather today! We went to the park with friends this morning and took a walk around our neighborhood this afternoon.

Grandma and Grandpa

Gary and Sue came to visit last weekend. Unfortunately, it was cold and rainy all weekend, but we had a good visit anyway.

Four Months Old

Cara turned four months old yesterday! She had her check up today and she weighs 13 lbs 2 oz and is 24 inches long!
Her favorite things are her big sister, mirrors and being part of all of the action.
The biggest thing going on with Cara though, is that we suspect she has a dairy allergy or intolerance. Without going into all of the details she has been very fussy and showing several signs of intestinal issues/stomach upset. I eliminated dairy from my diet 9 days ago and have started to see some improvement, namely she's sleeping more and crying less. It will take about 3 weeks for the dairy to leave both of our systems, so I am hopeful that she will continue to get better over the next couple of weeks. Her pediatrician didn't run any tests yet because he was afraid of false positives and we don't have a family history of allergies, but we are going to reevaluate in 2 months at her next appointment to determine if we need to run any tests.
So, until then...if you know of any good dairy free products or recipes let me know!

Week In Review

It's been quite a week. This was Chris's first full week back after his trial and I think we're all still recovering from him being gone.

The biggest news of the week is that Cara rolled over! On Wednesday she rolled from tummy to back and she did it again on Thursday. She's been trying to roll from back to tummy--grunting, turning red, and tooting from trying so hard--but so far no luck.

Lila's had a few funnies this week...

She's been watching Aladdin a lot lately and yesterday she was playing with her rubber ducky and told him, "If I ever do get married it will be for love."

Today we were all in the car and Lila said, "Ian do you have something in your nose? Is it a booger or just a crumb?"

Lila apparently brought her giant bear into her bed to nap with her.

After living here for a year and a half I finally found a swim school that actually teaches kids how to swim! Lila had her first lesson today and she did great. She was a little nervous to get in the pool without Chris or I, but she warmed up to Coach Nick and floated on her back and even went under water.

Plus, she looks super cute in her goggles and swim cap!
