Muscle Club

Lila started a Mother's Morning Out program this morning called Muscle Club at the Hub. She will be going once a week for two hours and her first day was great. She didn't cry at all when I dropped her off and the teachers said she did great. When I picked her up and asked if she had fun, she very enthusiastically answered "YEAH!".

Unfortunately, I came down with a flu bug last night so I spent my entire free morning camped out on the couch.

Last Swim Meet

Ian had his last swim meet of the season last night. He swam three events and because it started at 5:00 instead of 6:15 we were all able to go, at least part of the time, and cheer him on.

Poor Lila

Lila was up ALL night last night so I took her to Urgent Care as soon as it opened this morning and found out that she has her first ear infection. Poor thing! She seems to be feeling much better after just one does of Tylenol and one dose of antibiotics, so let's hope for a good nap today!

Pee Pee on the Potty

I want to start off by saying I am NOT potty training. I think I started way too early with Ian and as a result it took a ridiculously long time and I could have saved us a lot of frustration by waiting. However, Lila has been obsessed with watching me go potty for a few months now (there is no such thing as privacy when you are a mom) and last week started asking to sit on the potty herself. This week I bought her a potty seat that fits on the toilet and she has been asking nightly to sit on her "own poppy". Until tonight she had just been sitting there hanging out for 10 minutes or so, but tonight she actually went! She was rewarded with a Hersheys hug so we'll see if we get a repeat performance tomorrow.

Then and Now

I have my camera back! And I'm feeling a little nostalgic today so I decided to do a then and now post. I got Lila dressed today in her Valentine's Day outfit from last year so I decided to take a picture. And this afternoon I worked on scanning in some pictures of Ian's elementary school years because he needs them for a school Memory Book project.

Personal Best!

This post is a little late, but Ian had a swim meet last Friday where he got a personal best in the freestyle! Way to go Ian! Mom and Dad drove up for the meet and Katie, Tim and Tony drove out from the city so he had quite the cheering section to witness it!

While we together we also celebrated Katie's birthday a little early with some cake and then a fun night out.
